Why the Organization Wants to Have an Organization on the Campus
We believe that students should have the opportunity to select a student organization of their choice, and to select organizations with various focuses. Along with the leadership training and career awareness activities that many organizations provide, we also provide the opportunities for students to be involved with activities that serve the intellectually and developmentally disabled citizens (special needs) within our communities. We sponsor the Gloria Chapmon Walk-A-thon in support of this population. We also sponsor and connect with youth in our communities by getting them involved early in community service, and assist them with leadership development and public speaking activities to name a few.
What the Organization will bring to the Campus
(How the College and Prospective Members will Benefit)
Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of women with many business and professional backgrounds and experiences; therefore, we offer a wealth of expertise in many fields of business, education (to include special needs), and government. Some of the benefits of the presence of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated on the campus, is that we assist students in developing high level leadership skills that involve critical thinking skills – ‘thinking outside of the box,’ brainstorming, planning and development; and we assist in teamwork development that is so critical in today’s workplace through many activities, workshops and training.
We also provide monetary assistance by allowing students to apply for scholarships that are awarded on the local, region and national levels.
